Questions, answered
A few things people often ask before we begin. If your question isn't here, do get in touch.
Self-awareness coaching is a structured, one-to-one process for seeing yourself more clearly: how you come across to others, and what shapes your own decisions. It pairs an anonymised view of how colleagues experience you with a closer look at your masks and biases, then turns that insight into sharper judgement, confidence and impact. The work is goal-oriented coaching rather than therapy.
Coaching and therapy are different disciplines. This is goal-oriented coaching: forward-looking work focused on awareness, decisions and change, drawing on your strengths rather than diagnosing or treating a condition. If deeper clinical support is ever needed, Richard will say so.
Executives, senior leaders and thoughtful professionals who want to improve their judgement, confidence and impact. It suits people who sense that how they are seen may differ from how they see themselves, and who are ready to look clearly at both.
Yes. Richard's clients are largely executives and senior leaders, and the self-awareness programme is, in practice, executive and leadership coaching: it sharpens the judgement, presence and decision-making that leadership calls for. The method starts from seeing yourself, and your impact on others, clearly.
One to one, on Zoom, Teams or in person in London, in flexibly spaced fortnightly sessions of 75 minutes, held in complete confidence. Richard works with clients across the UK and around the world, from Geneva to Sydney.
Each session lasts 75 minutes, held fortnightly and flexibly spaced around your diary, with 20 to 30 minutes of light reflection in between. The full six-stage programme usually unfolds over several months rather than weeks, at a pace that suits you.
The work begins with an initial chemistry meeting between coach and client, free of charge and without obligation. Fees for the full programme depend on its length and scope, and Richard discusses them openly at that first meeting, so you can decide with everything in front of you.
A considered path in six stages, moving from looking outward, how others experience you, drawn from an anonymised 360-style report, to looking inward, your masks and biases, and a practical plan for change.
Full confidentiality is guaranteed. The 360-style report is fully anonymised, presenting themes and strengths rather than attributed comments.
Yes, optionally. An OCEAN (Big Five) psychometric personality assessment is available, with a full debrief, adding a further, evidence-based perspective alongside the anonymised 360 report. It is included whenever you and Richard decide it will be useful.
